Then I read a book by Scarne,who was considered the leading expert on gambling at that time. I read,and re-read Professor Thorpes book several times, and even recruited my former HS math teacher to explain some of the more technical aspects. Around 1979,right after Atlantic City opened,rumors were flying that if you could count cards,you could make a killing down there.
